Bumper Season Continues...
Epic Powder Falls Continue throughout January - Niseko and Furano!
The snow is continuing to bucket down in Hokkaido. Niseko now has a huge snow base of 280cm on top of the mountain and Furano has 155cm on top of the mountain. Visitors to Furano have been delighted to find ample fresh snow with almost no lift closures due to weather. We have been treated to a few glorious (if frosty) blue sky mornings. It looks as if the snowfalls will extend well into March. Here's hoping for more great snow as this Hokkaido ski season kicks into full gear.
It is not long until the Furano ski festival. If you are lucky enough to make it to the resort we recommend skiing in the morning and then sampling some of the fantastic local cuisine whilst laughing at the festivities, and topping the night off with the fireworks display just across the street from Fresh Powder. The atmosphere is wonderful.
