The Prince Furano Ski Resort prides itself on being a family friendly and as such it is ideal for children of all ages. It is not uncommon to see local families with children as young as three enjoying a day on the slopes. The family G lift located immediately across from Fresh Powder apartments, is perfect for children who are beginning to ski. The lift attendants are extremely attentive and helpful when children ride the chair, slowing the speed of the lift and assisting children on and off the lift. The Furano prince area boasts a moving carpet for very young children. The moving carpet or conveyor belt feeds beginner children skiers, their parents/and or instructors onto a short ski run enclosed with protecting netting. Best of all, the slope has a very gentle gradient.

The three ski schools in the resort employ English speaking ski instructors who specialize in teaching children the basics of how to ski. For children who require English Instruction we recommend private lessons as most group lessons are conducted in Japanese. Most weeknights and during the weekends the children from the surrounding area visit the resort to practice mastering the perfect turn. Mums and Dads can be seen encouraging youngsters as they progress down the slopes. Later in the evening the local Furano children ski teams expertly navigate the red and blue flags on the downhill ski race Matsunoki course.
