Deposit

A minimum deposit of 30% of the overall package price (Japanese Yen) is required within 7 days of the confirmation of the booking for the 30% confirmation deposit rate. This deposit should be made via credit card payment over the Internet or an electronic transfer, as agreed at the time of the booking. 100% of the overall package price (Japanese Yen) is required within 7 days of confirmation of booking for the special 100% prepaid rate. This deposit should be made via credit card payment over the Internet or an electronic transfer, as agreed at the time of the booking. A further deposit may be required for bookings falling over the Christmas period or otherwise stated.

Balance

Balance is due in full 60 days prior to arrival for the 30% confirmation deposit rate. Bookings made within this period must be fully paid upon confirmation.

Cancellation & refunds

Cancellations must be received in writing. A cancellation at the 30% confirmation deposit rate made out of 60 days will incur a loss of deposit.  A cancellation made within 60 days before arrival will incur a 100% cancellation fee of the total booking amount. For the 100% Prepaid rate, all payments are final.

Any refunds due cannot be processed until suppliers have returned the relevant funds to Japan Fresh Powder. Insurance covering cancellation is strongly advised as some cancellation penalties are strict. Refunds will not be given on unused vouchers for accommodation, transfers, and ski passes.

Amendments

Must be received in writing. A minimum amendment fee of ¥5000 per change to confirmed arrangements. Within 60 days of arrival, the cancellation conditions will apply in full.

Exchange Rates

Costs are subject to change until Japan Fresh Powder receives full payment based on the current rate of exchange in its offices.
Once full payment, including any quoted surcharge, has been received prices are guaranteed.

Not included in the cost of holidays or services

Cost of passports, and visas where required, items not specified as being included, airport taxes where applicable, international telephone calls, food, ski or equipment hire, lift passes (unless stated), and any other item of a personal nature. The only transportation that will be provided is between Furano Japan Fresh Powder Apartments and the local supermarket on the day of arrival and in the middle of the guest’s stay.

Prices

All prices quoted for accommodation are based on current rates in Japanese Yen, (including foreign exchange rates) and accordingly are subject to change without notice.

Acceptance of bookings

Bookings are accepted subject to the services or accommodation applied for being available. Japan Fresh Powder and/or its agents reserve the right, without notice, to modify, cancel, or withdraw any or the arrangements, and in this event, the full amounts paid will be returned to the customer, and upon rendering the same, all liability of Japan Fresh Powder and/or its agents in respect thereof shall cease. Japan Fresh Powder and/or its agents reserve the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of any party at any time.

Transportation

Japan Fresh Powder accepts no responsibility for customers’ transportation to and from Furano and Japan Fresh Powder other than that stipulated in “Not included in the cost of holidays or services”. No refunds of accommodation or any other related services will be given if the customers are unable to arrive on the day of the predetermined booking including travel being impaired by weather conditions,  flight delays, or cancelations likewise Japan Fresh Powder and/or its agents will not be responsible for providing additional accommodation if customers are prevented from leaving Furano due unforeseen circumstances including weather.

Passports and Visas

It is your responsibility to arrange all necessary passports and visas. Japanese visa requirements vary greatly for individual countries. Visit the Japanese consulate in your country for more information.

Insurance

It is strongly advisable for everyone undertaking these tours and services to insure themselves against medical expenses, personal accident, loss of deposit and cancellation fees, and also their baggage against damage, loss, theft, etc.

Snow Conditions

Average snowfall statistics indicated within any advertising material from Japan Fresh Powder and/or its agents are to the best of our knowledge and are correct at the time of press. It should be understood that Japan Fresh Powder cannot under any circumstances be held responsible for snow conditions. No accommodation booking can be canceled, altered, or amended based on weather conditions.

Please note that maps/timetables and other information provided to assist Japan Fresh Powder customers in making their stay more comfortable may not be to scale or accurate and are provided only as a guide to Japan Fresh Powder customers. Information is a guide only to help them and that the information is accurate to the best of our knowledge however Japan Fresh Powder cannot be held liable if the information is inaccurate. The information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge, however Japan Fresh Powder accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided.

Meals and Personal Care Amenities

Japan Fresh Powder is a self-catering style of accommodation, therefore meals and personal care amenities (such as combs, shaving cream, razor, shower cap, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.) are NOT included. 

Lift Passes

Lift passes are NOT always included in the accommodation price however the Japan Fresh Powder Team will be on hand to provide assistance in purchasing lift passes.
In the case that Japan Fresh Powder does provide lift passes as part of a package no refunds can be given for any unused days on lift passes or should the days not be fully utilized. Japan Fresh Powder accepts no responsibility related to lift passes or lift operations.

Property Damage

The renter of any Japan Fresh Powder accepts responsibility and will incur all costs for replacement or repair of any damage incurred to any facet of the Japan Fresh Powder or Property by the renter or anybody in the renter’s party or duty of care outside of normal wear and tear.

Responsibility

Japan Fresh Powder shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity that may be caused to person or property however caused or arising, during any tour under its management, sponsorship, procurement, or otherwise, notwithstanding that the Company’s principal may be a foreign Company, corporation or person. So far as the Company shall not be acting as such Booking Agent it shall be deemed to be acting as Agent for the person making the booking. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that they are in possession of the proper travel documents and that they are in compliance with the current government and Transportation companies’ regulations. The right is reserved to modify the itinerary in any way considered necessary or desirable or to change any reservation, and/or means of conveyance, without notice and for any reason whatsoever and without allowance or refund but the extra cost, if any, resulting therefrom must be paid by the customer.

The right is also reserved to cancel or withdraw any tour, or any booking made for a customer, or to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of a tour for any reason whatsoever. No refunds can be made in respect of accommodation and lift passes not utilized and under no circumstances can refunds be made for tours and sightseeing excursions not undertaken. The issuance and acceptance of receipts, tickets, vouchers coupons, or exchange orders shall be deemed consent to the above conditions.

No-Smoking policy

Japan Fresh Powder maintains a “NO SMOKING POLICY” within its facilities. Japan Fresh Powder reserves the right to evict from the building any person or party not adhering to this policy without a refund for the remaining days.
